DID TALK LAST WEEK AT A RETIREMENT RESORT, WHICH HAD JUST HAD A COVID SCARE.

This required me to take an Covid test when entering the building and then wearing a mask...even when I was giving my talk!
Now, I still have residue of my Scots accent, which some 'Aussies' find hard to understand, so you can imagine my concern when I had to speak through a mask!
Fortunately, all went OK, and my book got a good reception, they even asked me to recite more poems (in Scottish) from the back of my book. My book has now gone into their library which will hopefully generate more interest!
My book is now in the local bookshop in Cronulla and the owner came along to me to talk at the Cronulla library. This talk had an audience of over forty people, some of whom had already purchased my book. over twenty books were sold on the night and again my poetry was a 'hit'!
At the end of this session, one of the attendees came up to me and holds me he was originally from Dumbarton, just outside Glasgow. In conversation, it turned out we both went to Clydebank baths at the same time in the '50s!
